Two years ago, this podcast took an indefinite hiatus. We’d done over 57 episodes where we learned about the lives of Canadians who lived abroad. The show ended, but we kept hearing from people who had stories to tell—about their lives in other countries, and what their experiences taught them about what it means to be Canadian.
Those stories inspired us to relaunch the show.
We have a new name but the same mandate as before. We’re kicking things off with a preview of what’s to come. And we’re also welcoming a new voice to the show who’ll be helping behind the scenes to bring you stories from Canadians living abroad.
We’re glad to be back, and we can’t wait to connect with you!
— Adam and Julie, the Canadians Away! team.
So glad the Expats (I mean, the Canadian’s Away!) are back. Thanks for feeding our collective wanderlust – especially since we can’t wander very far right now. Can’t wait to listen!
Thanks so much for you constant support, Lori. We’re excited to be back and in your ears!
I am so happy to have found you and this podcast!
Thanks so much, Cecile! We should get you on the show so you can share your experiences with folks!
Hello fellow Canadians !
My name is Natalie Pujo . I was an anchor and reporter on City TV in the food old days ( 90s ) and then leapt into the US market in 97 .
What a culture shock !
I’ve been in the US ever since and have never really felt at home among Americans . Why is this ? So many subtle reasons .
Maybe some of them led me to become a psychologist in mid life . Now I live in Los Angeles and still pine for Canadian sensibility . I’d love to have a conversation .
